I started Hungry Hawaiian at 180 N University Ave Ste 135 in Provo to share the food I grew up with. Hawaiian plate lunches were a big part of my life, and I wanted people in Utah to enjoy those same meals. These recipes come from years of family cooking and food traditions passed down over time.
When we opened Hungry Hawaiian, we focused on classic plates like teriyaki chicken, kalua pork, Spam, grilled tofu, and katsu. Hawaiian food is simple, filling, and meant to bring people together.
